Our member practices are based throughout York and North Yorkshire, and all lie within the boundary of the Vale of York Clinical Commissioning Group.
Elvington Medical Practice
Elvington Medical Practice serves nearly 7,500 patients to the South East of York, including the villages of Wheldrake, Dunnington, Wilberfoss and Thorganby. The practice provides most primary care services but has particular strengths in minor surgery, sexual health and care for the elderly.
The first GP practice in the north of England to install an ARX dispensing robot, Elvington continues to seek innovative ways to deal with the challenges faced in delivering primary care services.

The purpose built surgery was opened in 1972 and has been added to over the years to give spacious accommodation for our two partners, salaried GP, nurse practitioner, practice nurses and other members of our clinical and administrative team.
We pride ourselves on being a small, friendly, family orientated surgery whilst ensuring professional, high quality clinical care. We provide a full range of chronic disease clinics, disease prevention and screening services, women’s and men’s health advice, minor surgical procedures and the treatment of minor injuries.
We are currently a four partner dispensing Practice, with support from 1 Salaried GP, in a rapidly growing small market town.
We enjoy good working relationships, within an active Primary Health Care Team, and we provide Medical Services to our local Community Hospital, St Monica’s.
Our Partnership provides General Medical Services (GMS) to a population of 7,200. Almost half of this population inhabits outlying villages and farms, bringing the Practice associated rural payment, as well as dispensing status.
The Practice is also responsible for the medical care of the residents of nursing and residential care homes within the area, as well as caring for a significant number of patients with learning difficulties and physical handicaps, living in community units within the area.
As a GMS Practice, we are high QoF achievers. We are committed and active members of the Vale of York Commissioning Consortium, a consortium with pathfinder status, proactively working toward the provision of cost effective and clinically excellent care within the challenging environment of the current NHS efficiency drive.
Old School Medical Practice, Copmanthorpe

In addition the practice supports a local apprentice scheme and currently has two reception and administration apprentices.
The practice has recently been accredited by NHS England to be a beacon practice for the development and roll out of online services. For the last two years we have been going through a modernisation drive, changing clinical systems, introducing more efficient and effective patient outcome services, electronic prescribing (EPS) as well as looking at our internal operational functionalities to maximise efficiencies.
Pickering Medical Practice
